stimulus reflection- Mock

The stimulus our group decided was the phrase 'Good Value'. Initially, this made me think of multiple choices in life that can be from your own value and how the consequences from them can effect you.  Due to not being in this lesson as I was ill, I personally didn't understand the idea of an affair correlating to 'Good value' at the beginning however, when I spoke with my group and they explained how it linked it started to piece together in my mind. 

My group explained to me how we wanted to create a piece about an affair which is based of the value of the other women and her true emotions to this man she has fallen for him. 

Looking at this, made me understand what their initial idea was as when people have affairs the blame is always put to the other women, no one ever thinks how she actually feels ( this being if she doesn't know about the relationship she is breaking up).

All discussed ideas on this stimulus. Wrote notes and every little detail that came to mind. 

Initial reactions, emotions, feelings and ideas for the stimuli. Stimulus 2 'Good vale' was the chosen option. My group felt that a lot more physical theatre could be put into this. 

1/03/23

Today we thought about what we wanted to incorporate into our piece. As a group we decided to create a dance piece to show the relationship between the man and his girlfriend and his other women. We thought about multi rolling as 6 in our group and 3 characters to 2 people played one character. For this section, we had an idea of both men being in this scene, one man dancing with his girlfriend and the other dancing with the other women, we talked about the movement being exactly the same but the was they are done differently and the emotion put into them being different as well. We played with movements- round by through.

As a group, we decided to create more physical theatre within our work. Our work was influenced more by 'round by through'. We thought about the shape of a triangle and how it should be significant within our work as the triangle represents the love triangle between the man, girlfriend and other women.

7/03/23 

Today we worked on the storyboard and what scene would go where. We worked out the beginning, climax and ending so that we can work out what's going on in the middle.

my group members came up with a dance to show the relationship with the boy and each girl. We started to create the opening scene using physical theatre- each pair being in line ( OW, B, G).

In this lesson, we worked on the music for our performance. We used the piano, African drum and drum.  -music just came to us. we improvised.

We completely finished our piece today, 10:44. Proud we have completed.

Our performance was viewed by Tanya and we were told that develop it a little more.
